😂
I genuinely had no idea what I was talking about. At 18, I thought 40 was practically retirement age. I imagined people at 40 sitting in rocking chairs, complaining about the weather, drinking herbal tea, and going to bed at 8 PM.
Well, here I am, getting closer to that age, and I have a few things to confess.
First, my knees have started making sounds I never knew existed. Second, I now consider cancelling plans a luxury, not a disappointment. Third, I get genuinely excited about buying good kitchen appliances. And don't even get me started on how wonderful a quiet evening at home feels!
Apparently, back pain is no longer something that happens to other people. It is now a regular member of the family.
And the funniest part? I still feel 18 in my head, until I try to get up from the sofa without making a sound.
So, to everyone I called old at 40, I'm sorry. You weren't old. You were just experienced, well-seasoned, and probably tired of everyone's nonsense.
Respectfully, I owe you an apology. Growing up is a scam, and nobody warned me! 😂
